Founded in 1996 in Baku, Azerbaijan, SINTEKS LLC is now one of the largest and most successful fashion retailers in the Caucasus and Central Asia.

SINTEKS is committed to working with the world’s leading fashion brands – from established international fashion houses to emerging designer labels.

The company now has more than 80 stores operating in fashion, jewelry and food & beverage spheres.

We are currently looking for Web Developer to join Sinteks Group of Companies.

The role:

The role of web developer includes: building the website from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function; creating the CSS and HTML5 to W3C standards in line with the design and style of the Sinteks group’s websites; optimizing web pages for maximizing efficiency and the best UX standard practices, while maintaining brand consistency across all web pages. Web developer will be required to work as part of the e-commerce team alongside outsourced backend developers and graphic designers to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent.

Job responsibilities:

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using the best software development practices
• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
• General bug fixing and maintenance of all sites
• Migrate our websites from PHP to Node.js
• Manage the day-to-day tasks to the outsourced development team
• Create the structure and design of web pages
• Maintain optimization across all devices
• Optimize all pages for speed and scalability
• Put UX first determining design choices
• Suggest new technology and features to enhance the overall UX
• Make decisions between functionality and design
• Create useful code for future use
• Markup language to write web pages
• Keep brand consistency throughout design

NamİZƏDƏ TƏLƏBLƏR

Qualifications / Education:

• University degree in Information Technologies or any in related field, (certificates in web developing or any other related qualification is desirable)

Experience:

• Proven work experience in backend/frontend development
• Experience in web programming
• Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools

Professional knowledge and skills:

• Good knowledge of PHP and Node.js programming language
• Meteor.JS, React and Angular knowledge is recommended (for Node.JS)
• Excellent knowledge of database management systems: MySQL, MsSQL, PostgreSQL
• Base replication and base optimization skills are desirable
• Excellent knowledge of GIT
• Excellent knowledge of Javascript and good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3
• Basic knowledge of LESS/SCSS
• The following would be a bonus: Server configuration, Google Webmasters, Google Analytics API, Google Adwords API, Mailchimp API, Azericard API, AtaTexnologiya API, DigitalOcean API
• Understanding server-side CSS
• Understanding SEO principles
• Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
• Solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
• Good knowledge of Azerbaijani, English and Russian
