Role Overview:

SİNEX GLOBAL, is fast growing freight forwarding company in the oil and gas sector, is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Logistics Specialist to optimize our daily logistics operations. This role is essential for ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution of materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials.
• Manage and optimize transportation routes, warehouse operations, and inventory control to enhance efficiency.
• Coordinate with global agents, truckers, shipping lines, airlines and customs authorities to ensure smooth shipment processing.
• Oversee import/export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and local laws.
• Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Collaborate with customers’ procurement, sales, and project teams to align logistics plans with business needs.
• Negotiate contracts with transportation providers and warehouse operators to secure favorable terms.
• Address and resolve logistical challenges, including delays, damages, and supplier issues.
• Ensure all logistics activities adhere to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and present reports on logistics operations, performance trends, and cost analysis to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding and logistics, supply chain, or transportation management, preferably in service provider side.
• Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures, import/export regulations, and international freight operations.
• Proficiency in English and Russian (spoken and written).
• Experience with ERP systems and logistics management software is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Certifications

• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
• Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)
• Lean Six Sigma certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Working Conditions

• Location: Baku, Azerbaijan.
• Sector: International Freight Forwarding and customs brokerage.
• Salary: Competitive, determined during the interview process.
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5-day work week.
